Film on AfriCat wins Genesis award

“Cheetahs Running for their Lives”, filmed by Dave Houghton and directed
by Dudley Viall of Afrinature Films, was an in-depth look at the day-to-day
running of the AfriCat Foundation.

The film, shown on both the Discovery Channel and the BBC, went on to win
the Ark Trust Inc. 1997 Genesis Award for Outstanding Cable Documentary.
While recognising the talents of the film crew the Ark Trust also praised the
work done by the AfriCat Foundation as can be seen by the inscription on
the award plaque.

“For a remarkable account of the AfriCat Foundation's work to protect and
save the endangered cheetah thus increasing public awareness of animal issues”.
