A-list holiday spots
They expect the best, so surely it’s wise to follow in the
holidaying footsteps of Cameron, Angelina and Kate…

Okonjima’s Grand African House
and home of the AfriCat Foundation
Namibia This year’s most famous A-list
holiday?
It has to be down to Brad and Angelina’s extended stay in
Namibia. Not so much a holiday as an invasion - it generated more
column inches for the country than years of tourist board activity
could ever have achieved. As Brad pointed out, shortly before they
left: "Namibia is Africa’s best kept secret – that
is, until we came here!" So what’s the lure of this
newly famous destination? For starters, it has amazingly diverse
scenery, from the bleached sands and shipwrecks of the Skeleton
Coast, to the lush greenery of the Caprivi Strip, via the world’s
most photogenic dunes at Sossussvlei and the spectacular Fish River
Canyon. For wildlife-lovers, there are great safari opportunities,
and if you just want to be alone, spaces here are as wide and open
as they come. To top it all, the night-time displays of stars overhead
are nothing short of awesome.
