The updated figures (1 July 1993 to 31 December 2007) are
as follows:

Total died / euthanased = 3.8%

This figure inspired the Rehabilitation Programme that was started
in 2000.
"Too many orphaned cheetahs that actually
have nothing wrong with them. They only came to Africat because they
had lost their mother at a young age, but were old enough not to have
to be hand-raised!"
