Meet Our Children - Grade 1

First Name: Aaron There is always a busy child in school and darling Aaron is that one. He is so full of life and energy he finds it very difficult to contain that. However teacher Hildegard is doing an exceptionally great job at steering that wonderful energy into something good. Aaron enjoys school and always tries hard. He is very keen to take the lead in class discussions and is always very helpful. Aaron loves Mavu the Labrador that visits the school and always likes to take charge of her. |

First Name: Elisabeth Elisabeth is truly a joy to have in class! She is always keen to complete any task that has been given to her and very proud to show off her immaculate handwriting. If there is a perfectionist, it’s Elisabeth. She goes to great lengths to ensure her work is well presented and we are extremely proud of her as to how she has excelled in school. Watch this space....... |

First Name: Joyce Joyce shows a keen interest in her school work, she tries very hard to always join in class. Joyce does not allow anyone to dominate her, she is feisty and knows what she wants – do not mess with her..... |

First Name: Kambaka Kambaka and Paulus joined our little farm school education programme twice a week before we enrolled them into the new Perivoli Country School. Kambaka has proved that he is very capable of doing all the work expected from him and therefore he now helps his peers in his grade with their school work and encourages them to do better. He has become an enthusiastic participant in class discussions and always takes the lead in class. |

First Name: Morgiane Morgiane never joined a school in town due to personal circumstances. However her mother in her spare time has given her lessons on reading, writing, and maths as best she could. We had a little farm school programme twice a week that started about 4 years ago and Morgaine joined this group of kids that was here on the farm. However since we built the school and school started Morgaine has been a full fletching student of Perivoli Okonjima Country School. She has settled in so beautifully and enjoys every moment of her schooling. Morgiane is always keen to learn and is always game for anything. She is truly a little angel..... |

First Name: Paulus Paules did not attend school until Perivoli Okonjima Country School opened its doors in February 2011. Paulus loves horses and spends all his off time playing at the stables. Paulus has made good progress since starting school. He is very shy but tries hard to take part in class discussions. He is extremely good at design and in his spare time he is always making something out of wire. |

First Name: Simon Simon joined us only on the 19th of July 2011 for our 3rd term as he was finding it difficult to cope in town. He joined his brother who is in Kindergarten and his sister who is in pre-primary and him in Grade 1. Things have improved so much since he has joined the family fold back here at Okonjima. He is an absolute delight at school and charms his way through with his little dimples. He is very attentive in class and is always willing to take part in group activities. |

First Name: Sophia Sophia is the “life of the party” if one may so. She is well liked by her peers and is always on hand to help the younger children. She is an extremely caring girl and loves hugs! You may not pass Sophia without giving her a hug or two. Sophia has a good attitude towards the school. Her ability to work is good. Sophia loves sport. |
